Connecticut family photography, holiday card photos in New Haven County

Jess and I have been friends since another era :), and now I get to photograph her with her husband and kids!  It’s so fun watching these two cuties achieve incredible milestones, thanks to the love and support they get from their mom and dad :).  My other friend’s family (from the last post) and Jess’s family met at Edgerton together on the same morning, a little mini reunion of sorts, with photos!  I think it’s the start of a new tradition :).

It’s so fun to see your childhood friends as moms!  Cassie and I have been friends since middle school, which makes it especially fun to photograph her in this role :).  We had beautiful light in Edgerton Park and the girls were full of smiles (even baby C, who had skipped her morning nap, didn’t show an ounce of grumpiness :)).  I’m pretty sure they couldn’t be cuter.

For those of you who have been following along for a while, you might feel like you’ve gotten to know Gerry a little bit!  His mom is one of the kindest people I know, and I feel lucky to have met her so many years ago now!  I love our sessions because it’s a way of keeping up with Gerry as he grows; he was born just a week before my younger son, so that makes it extra special too.  Here are just a few photos from our most recent session, documenting the fact that he is now EIGHT.

This sweet little man only recently turned one, but he can MOVE!  We started the session at their home as he was waking up from a nap, which gave us a great opportunity for some adorable I’m-still-sleepy shots.  A big beautiful window behind the bed provided perfect light.  We then took advantage of the incredibly warm weather (I love warm autumns!!!) to take a walk around Edgerton Park, where the leaves are turning brilliant shades of orange in some parts of the park, and there were so many fall wonders to explore :).  He was curious and tireless, taking everything in and leading the way whenever we let him :).  Thanks for a great session, guys, and enjoy your sneak peek!

Have any of you been to Brooksvale Park recently?  I met this wonderful family there this weekend for a family photo session, and I couldn’t believe how much it has changed (for the better).  There are new structures for the animals, more animals, and the grounds are so well kept.  The kids had a great time finding forts and boulders and we all relished the beautiful weather and fall foliage.  We have so many great photos!  Enjoy your sneak peek, guys!
