Connecticut family photography, Connecticut shoreline holiday photos

We had magical light on Sunday, with fall colors lining the marsh grasses and so much exploring to do of crabs, stones, and berries.  Each of the children in this family has his or her unique look, each of them beautiful in their own way.  Their warmth as a family was mirrored by the warmth of the foliage and sunlight.  Thank you for a wonderful session, guys!  Lots more to come!

Connecticut family photography, holiday card photos in Darien

It’s so much fun to photograph the people close to your heart!  We braved the wind for a beach session in Darien on Saturday, and it was worth it–the light was just gorgeous!  And it was still warm, a hint of fall in the air, but still feeling a bit like late summer :).  These two cuties had fun climbing the rocks, and were delighted when mom said they could take their tights and shoes off :).  Lots more to come, guys!

Aaaaa look at the expressions on these two cuties!!!  We were so happy that there were still apples to be picked this weekend, as our first session date was a rain-out.  But this past weekend was just PERFECT, and I had so much fun “searching” for apples with this little guy (and his baby brother, of course!).  Those little details make me smile: the way big brother has his little fingers intertwined in photo 1, how pleased baby brother looks about getting to actually eat an apple, and in the photo immediately after that one, the way he’s got one foot resting on the other (will he habitually stand like that when he’s big brother’s age?).  Childhood is so fleeting–I’m so lucky to get to capture it!!!  Thank you for a great session guys!!

It was such fun to watch this little man explore Edgerton Park for the first time this weekend!  He clearly takes such joy in discovering newness: a car he hasn’t seen before (clearly a favorite :)), a piece of mulch, a flower, falling leaves.  Focusing on the wonder of such small things, the way a toddler does, makes everything seem more beautiful!  His adorable face and his easy smiles really made my afternoon!  Thanks for a great session, guys!
