Newport weddings, Newport wedding photography, Castle Hill Inn wedding photography, Connecticut and Rhode Island weddings

Cara and Michael are two of the sweetest people I’ve ever met, and their wedding this weekend at the Castle Hill Inn in Newport was one of the most beautiful I’ve attended, either as a guest or as a photographer!  These two are so perfectly suited for each other, and have obviously touched so many lives in wonderful ways (although they both wear many hats, as one example they are a teacher and a firefighter).  They treated their guests to an incredible evening at a magical venue that felt even more so because of the fog, which gave everything a dreamlike quality.  The food was delicious, and they spent the evening laughing with their friends and family and pouring love out as love poured in.  I was so honored to be able to document it, and a big thank you to Mariah Isley Photography for helping me capture the day!

Connecticut family photography, family photo sessions in New Haven County

It doesn’t feel like the sun has been out a whole lot this month, but the gorgeous sunlight on this afternoon just screams SPRING!  I loved every minute of my session with this beautiful family, little L.’s easy laugh and the occasional bit of mischief in her eyes (echoed in her father’s) kept me smiling the whole time, too.  Enjoy your sneak peek, guys!

There’s a new little man in this family, and just as I hoped, his hair is 100% as stunning as that of his two sisters :).  And those eyes…!!!  And that smile!  Really, everything about this session made me smile (even though I knew how tired the parents must be with three little ones this age):  the white dresses; the spontaneous sister twirl (I didn’t ask them to do that!); little man’s adorable smile when his favorite toy made its hilarious noise; the sunlight; the fact that little miss N. picked up a garden hose and sprayed us just before the last few photos!!  Enjoy the sneak peek of your beautiful family, guys.  Thanks again for asking me to capture it!

Connecticut wedding photography, New York wedding photography

I had the pleasure and honor this weekend of photographing Linda and Jarrell on their wedding day!  They are an incredibly sweet couple, and they tied the knot in front of family and friends in Linda’s hometown (although they now live in Mississippi).  I sometimes don’t have the opportunity to photograph the groom and his family getting ready, so it was a treat to get to see the guys’ side: getting the tie knots just right, choosing socks (Linda loves cherries, so Jarrell wore cherry socks), and feeling the family love.  Linda got ready at her aunt’s house, surrounded by female family members (she has 9 siblings!) who helped her with all aspects of getting ready and whisked her off to their local church for the ceremony.  It was a beautiful and heartfelt ceremony, and a great party after too at the Riverview, with (true to its name) a beautiful view of the Hudson River.  Thank you guys so much for trusting me to capture this day for you!
