I had the pleasure and honor this weekend of photographing Linda and Jarrell on their wedding day! They are an incredibly sweet couple, and they tied the knot in front of family and friends in Linda’s hometown (although they now live in Mississippi). I sometimes don’t have the opportunity to photograph the groom and his family getting ready, so it was a treat to get to see the guys’ side: getting the tie knots just right, choosing socks (Linda loves cherries, so Jarrell wore cherry socks), and feeling the family love. Linda got ready at her aunt’s house, surrounded by female family members (she has 9 siblings!) who helped her with all aspects of getting ready and whisked her off to their local church for the ceremony. It was a beautiful and heartfelt ceremony, and a great party after too at the Riverview, with (true to its name) a beautiful view of the Hudson River.
