Gerry at Whitlock’s Book Barn

Children’s portraits in Connecticut, Bethany photography, lifestyle portraits of children in New Haven County

For those of you following along for a few years, Gerry must feel like an old friend!  I LOVE my sessions with Gerry and his mom because they are both so open to adventure.  Since both mom and son have always loved books, I thought a place full of them might be fun, so his mom suggested Whitlock’s Farm Book Barn in Bethany, an absolutely wonderful place to spend an afternoon browsing (I left with a very old guidebook of the Acropolis filled with black and white photographs, Yale postcards from back when Hillhouse Ave. was unpaved, a book of celebrity portraits from the 60s, and a classic children’s book, Blueberries for Sal).  Gerry is getting older (sniff, sniff) and so much more mature, and had some great suggestions for photos, e.g. the one of him peeking out of the bookstore through the glass!  Thank you for a great session as always, guys!
