The many faces of Wally

Connecticut dog photography, pet portraiture in New Haven

Could this dog have bigger or more expressive eyes?  He is the sweetest thing, sticking close to his family, and sneaking pebbles to chew on (which he is not supposed to do :)).  We had great fun at Edgerton Park together on a beautiful morning.  I find that when taking photos of dogs, especially dogs that don’t know me, the best photos come near the end of the shoot.  By then the dog has become comfortable with me and the clicking of the camera, and just as importantly, I’ve started to get a “feel” for the dog and can start to predict movement a little bit.  We all do this, whether or not we are aware of it, I think.  Thank you for a great session, Wally :).
