Fort Hill Farm, Connecticut

We recently took a trip up to northeastern Connecticut to visit a HUGE and most elaborate corn maze at Fort Hill Farm.   You can see overhead views of the maze on their website, but here are a couple of on-the-ground views:

It’s really fun and worth a trip, plus the farm itself is absolutely beautiful.

My favorite part, being the animal lover that I am, was the calves.  Oh my goodness, these guys are CUTE, and if you live in Connecticut, in a couple years you may be drinking their milk, as they produce The Farmers Cow milk.  They were recently crowned the healthiest herd in the state.  I couldn’t pick just one or two photos so I made a cow collage.  I think I’ve just discovered that I’ve always wanted to make a cow collage! 🙂 Enjoy!

  • Kristin Orr - Thank you, gracias! We love our calves! We have never bought a calf: the first calves on my farm were given to my dad when he worked for someone at 14 yrs old, and they didnt have enough money to pay him. So, thus started our herd, and now we own the farm and have added 740 more acres to the 500 we bought from my parents 23 yrs ago. We now milk 200 cows plus we have 200 heifers and calves.ReplyCancel
